Your contract protects you.
I guarantee you, by putting it in the contract, that a qualified photographer will replace me in this kind of situation! So, you have the guarantee to have a back-up photographer. Until now, I never had to propose a back-up wedding photographer, and I hope this will never happen. But just in case, it is an additional security for you.

If, in the worst situation I had an accident, I work with other photographers that could preform amazing wedding pictures too, and you would (of course) not have to pay any extra fee. It’s written in the contract: it protects you for any circumstance.
